Leon started his first AI company in the voice AI space in 2017. He built it, scaled it, and exited in 2022. That experience taught him something most AI consultants never learn firsthand: the gap between what AI can do in a demo and what it takes to make it work inside a real business.
After the exit, he kept seeing the same pattern. Companies spending six figures on AI tools nobody used. Teams experimenting with ChatGPT in silos. Leadership that knew AI mattered but couldn't figure out where to start. So he built Amplify to solve that specific problem: find the money, train the team, build the systems.
In 2025 he recognized the need for a community lead AI effort which led him to found the Houston AI Club.
He's been in the codebase, managed the product roadmap, handled the customer support tickets. When he assesses your operations, he's pattern-matching against real build experience - not frameworks from a slide deck.
